When you buy frozen king crab or snow crab it’s pre-cooked. If you like it cold, you simply thaw and serve. But if you’re like me, and prefer it warm and flavourful, then this recipe is for you!
The first step is letting it thaw. Now this is where you have a chance to start infusing your crab with flavour!
Put the crab in a roasting pan (pictured below is 2 pounds of king crab) and add 1 inch of water. Flavour with:
- The juice of two lemons
- The lemons themselves
- 2 cloves of chopped garlic
- The spices of your preference
Salt, Pepper, Oregano, and Piri Piri
Cover with aluminium foil and allow to thaw for 1 hour.
Preheat Oven to 400, and cook covered for 10-12 minutes or until heated through.
For the Dipping Sauce:
I like to melt butter with chopped garlic as one dipping sauce option. Another tasty option is olive oil, lemon, and the same spices you used when preparing your crab.
