Happy Mindful Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and feel ready to make the most of the week ahead.
I went hiking yesterday, on one of my favourite trails, near the Royal Botanical Gardens. We saw a lot of wildlife and beautiful spring landscapes but the best part was seeing Elowyn excitedly run along the trail. She was fascinated by her surroundings, from discovering what the dirt trail felt like to trying to pin point where the birds she was hearing were perched, she had such a great time. I was inspired to compose a meditative visualization exercise featuring some of the flora and fauna we came across on the Cherry Hill Gate Trail.
Continuing with Visualization Meditation
This week’s guided visualization exercise is a relaxing meditative hike through the forest.
You’ll be gently prompted to imagine your surroundings, engage your senses, and reflect on your experience.
It’ll be a soothing meditation, almost as good as actually hitting the trails on a sunny day. This week’s video builds on skills we touched on last week in our Journey of the 5 Images exercise. This time you won’t have photo prompts, you’ll be relying on the power of your imagination to visualize the scenes unfolding before you as you journey through the forest.
A Family Friendly and Restorative Meditation Option
This type of meditation is an accessible option for younger audiences. Children are already well-versed in using their imagination to experience activities that interest them through imaginative play. Why not take a cue from our past selves and indulge our adult imagination in a similar fashion.
Feel more relaxed in minutes by travelling to your most memorable vacation spot all from the comfort of your own home.

Wow! That was an incredibly vivid mental journey through the deep recesses of a powerful imagination I didn’t even know I could tap into! What an awakening! It felt like a was living some sort of fantastic dream! Kudos on this one! Looking forward to the next! Perhaps a walk through Paris on a warm summer day? That would surely take me back to happy days!
Many thanks! Cheers! -Chamblain
